Nestled in between the Temescal Neighborhood to the north and downtown Oakland to the south 676 32nd Street is an amazing central Oakland location that is close to MacArthur BART, shops, restaurantes and entertainment. The neighborhood features a variety of real estate architecture and floorplan options, including multi-family investment homes and standalone single family homes. Although this neighborhood is primarily residential, the easy access to highways, a BART Station and bus stations provides plenty of options to explore everything Oakland has to offer. One of the most unique landmarks in the area is the Oakland Military Academy, which sits at the heart of the neighborhood. This academy provides a seven-year college preparatory program which begins at 6th grade all the way to high school graduation. Since the Oakland Military Academy is not a boarding school, parents who have a strong desire for their kids to attend this amazing charter school will love calling the neighborhood home. North Side Supermarket is one of the few stores within the neighborhood, but stands out as an amazing locally-owned grocery shop. Customers love the incredible selection of meat, deli selections, beer, wine, produce, and pantry items. The store also provides household items such as laundry detergent, cleaning products, and a variety of beverages. Whether hosting friends for a cookout, or just need to restock the pantry and fridge.
Commuters have plenty of reasons to love 676 32nd Street. MacArthur Station sits along the Northern border of the neighborhood, and is less than a mile walk. Downtown Oakland is just a 6-minute ride from MacArthur Station, while Google Headquarters is less than 30 minutes away. For those who need to commute north, Downtown Berkley is just a 5-minute train ride, which makes it easy to ride to/from UC Berkeley. The close proximity to Interstate 580 offers a straightforward drive to the Bay Bridge, and can also be utilized to drive to the Oakland Coliseum.
Oakland is one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in the country. Renowned for its artistic and cultural richness, thriving dining scene, and leadership in environmental sustainability, it’s a highly desirable place to live, attracting people from all over the world.
Located just 20 minutes from San Francisco, in the geographical center of the Bay Area, Oakland enjoys a warmer climate than its West Bay neighbor. Its landscape includes vast parkland with towering redwood trees, babbling creeks and miles of hiking trails, as well as Lake Merritt, a large tidal lagoon that connects to a beautiful waterfront.
In such a large and ethnically diverse city, where 400,000-plus residents speak more than 120 languages, there is no shortage of cultural amenities to draw your attention. The city’s world-class attractions include an internationally acclaimed museum, ballet, symphony and zoo; two grand, Art Deco-style performance venues; and the A’s major-league baseball team. Every first Friday of the month, throngs of people flock to the city’s hugely popular art walk, Art Murmur, and accompanying street party, First Friday. Oakland is also home to a large LGBT community and, in recent years, has attracted an influx of tech companies, helping usher in a wave of new restaurants, bars and boutiques.
The city’s neighborhoods are as diverse as its population, with charm and uniqueness permeating every corner.
